How to make more Money in Security

Want to make more money in your current job? Of course you do! Now comes the question of how.

If an employer is going to give you a pay raise,  most of them will do so on an annual basis after giving you a work performance review.  Do you really want to wait a whole year for possibly getting a raise? I didn't think so! So what do you do?

Here are my top 3 suggestions for earning more money with your current employer:

1. Get a Promotion- Communication is the key to success in all that we do in life and work is no different. Tell your employer that you want to move up in the company and make more money. I can tell you from experience that the employees that moved up and made the most money with my company were the one's that spoke up and asked for it. The Squeaky Wheel does get the grease.

2. Work Overtime- The Security Industry has a very high turnover rate and that is good for you and bad for your employer. Chances are your employer will need help with covering shifts. Speak up, step up and earn that extra money! Not only are you earning more money with working overtime, you are proving yourself as an Asset to the Company you work for. Keep it up!

3. Learn a new skill- I am willing to bet anything that your current employer outsources some of their work that you could possibly be doing. The people that have more training and education are the ones that earn more money. Find out what your employer outsources (marketing, scheduling, etc.) and ask your employer if they would pay to get you trained so you can do it.

If you want to earn more money at your job, you have to do something different than you are currently doing.

Work harder, work smarter and earn more money!
