Quick Facts to get started: NYS Security Guard License Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old
Must have a valid NYS driver’s license/ID card or go to a NYS DMV with a special form to have your photo taken
No felony record
8-Hour Pre-Assignment (1st Course to complete for New Officer's)
16-Hour OJT (must be completed within 90 days of employment)
