What are the three D’s?
A security officer can use the three D's to control the defined area they protect in a way that makes it more difficult for incidents to occur.
- Deter the threat from happening with the mere presence.
- Detect and identify the threat as they happen or just after.
- Delay or postpone a threat which gives you time to respond.
If you find something unusual you need to report it as per your company's policies.
