Basic Gun Cleaning Instruction
In this course, students will learn to properly clean their firearms. Students will be instructed on safety, how to disassemble and reassemble their firearm, identify parts, function check their firearm, and how to clean, inspect, and properly lubricate their firearm.
The length of the course is approximately 2 hours, and class size will have a limit of four students. Students must bring a pistol/revolver registered to you to take this class along with one magazine and dummy rounds.
Items To Bring:
- A pistol registered to you
- One magazine
- Dummy rounds/Snap Caps
- Cleaning Kit (bore cleaner & gun oil)
- Boresnake
- Cleaning Mat or Newspaper
- Cleaning Brush or an old toothbrush
- Cleaning Rag / Scott Multi-Purpose Paper Towel
Optional Items:
- Cleaning swabs or regular cotton swabs
- Nitrile Exam Gloves
- Eye Protection
NO live ammunition will be allowed in the classroom. All firearms will be inspected and made safe.
